February Meeting

Our next club meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 2nd (from 6-8pm) at Bar 3 BBQ in Belgrade; the home of recently opened Outlaw Brewing Co.  We'll have a table reserved for us, so look for it if you get there early.  They had six beers on tap as of this week, and they are also a full restaurant, with some tasty BBQ.

Club Project: Malting grains at home and an all local ingredient beer

At the last meeting we started to discuss our next club project: 
brewing a batch of beer using locally grown and home malted grains. 
We obtained around 20 pounds of unmalted barley (two different 
strains) and unmalted wheat from the MSU ag. research center.  The 
goal is to malt enough grain, as well as produce some home roasted/ 
toasted specialty malts, to brew a batch and hop it with hops from the

Bridger Brew Crew is a local homebrew club in the Gallatin Valley.  We meet bi-monthly on the first Thursday and a chosen weekend of each month.  Our Thursday meetings are held at 6:00 PM at Madison River Brewing Company in Belgrade.  Our weekend meeting provides us with an oppurtunity to do a variety of different activities such as group brews, beer tastings, field trips, etc. 

Our meetings are currently free and open to anyone interested.  Please feel free to stop by.
